"The World is Bright" is an independent feature length documentary that tells a compelling story about two Chinese parents’ quest to uncover the truth of their son’s death in Canada. Produced by GYU Films & Picture's Up Media it is produced by Jianping Su and directed by Ying Wang and Lawrence Le Lam. It documents the tragic turn of events surrounding Shi Ming, a young immigrant from China who suffered the challenges of mental illness and became entangled in Canada's immigration system. Ultimately he took his own life.
